James P. Daley: Shadows of the Abyss an Existential Rhapsody for Clarinet and Double Bass

This work was written for NYC and Tokyo based clarinet soloist Thomas Piercy ( http://www.thomaspiercy.com/) This duo incorporates a range of episodic moods and atmospheres that are intended to depict the mystery of the human spirit. The various interactions of the two soloists allows for a wide range of expression and character to be employed in performance.
