Sojourner is an African-American spiritual (often sung as the hymn "I Want Jesus to Walk With Me"). Mournful, yet hopeful, this bluesy arrangement is appropriate for both church and recital hall.

About the Arranger

Alan Purdum is a retired music educator, retired church music director, and amateur bassist. Having been a tuba major in college and a teacher of Orff Schulwerk ("Music for Children) in elementary schools, he started serious study of the double bass in his late fifties.
