About the Arrangement
I have been asked to play The Star Spangled Banner for a few of my high school's basketball games as well as an assembly. I was never able to find a solo piece of The Star Spangled Banner that I liked, so I decided to arrange my own. I enjoyed the sound of writing of this arrangement so I decided to publish it and hopefully inspire other bass players to play this piece in schools or wherever they end up.
About the Arranger
Kody S.D Caraveo is a classical, jazz, and contemporary high school music student from New Mexico that has played bass for about 3 years. He started off as a cellist for a year then was switched over to bass where he fell in love with the instrument. He is working hard to reach the top and inspire others to play double bass in normal and non traditional ways. He plays or has played with some of the highest high school level ensembles in New Mexico including the Albuquerque Youth Symphony, District VII Honor Band, The JazzBones, the Southwest Honor Band, Opera Southwest, the New Mexico Philharmonics, and others.
