About the Suite

Originally composed for the Lute, Christine created a transcription for the double bass.

It is very pleasant to play, and it sounds like a Bach Suite. Weiss was a contemporary of Bach and they performed together.

About the Arranger

MC DACQUI teaches the double bass in Paris, and she is principal double bassist at the Orchestre de l Opéra de Massy. At the same time, she as started a career in Jazz, notably with the Duet A CONTRARIO (voice and db). She has always  been interested in different ways of playing and enjoying music.
